Comparison is where you choose the trade-off you actually want before applying a plan.
Comparison metrics
Compare time, handling, material use and feasibility across the returned alternatives. Best marks are direction-aware: lower time, lower handling and lower scrap are better, while infeasible plans stay excluded instead of being scored optimistically.
Applying a plan
Applying a plan selects it for the current job and drives the follow-on cut plan, workshop and export views. It does not silently reserve inventory unless a separate governed reservation workflow explicitly succeeds.
